Alex is an attachment-informed therapist who prioritizes the tenets of relational safety and trust in her work with clients. Her approach is warm and nonjudgmental so that clients can vulnerably explore their life adversities and develop new strategies for long-lasting healing.
Alex's clinical expertise includes child advocacy, forensic interviewing, interdisciplinary collaboration, and trauma therapy for children, adolescents, adults, and families. As a state-rostered Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TFCBT) and Child Parent Psychotherapy (CPP) therapist, Alex has supported children and caregivers who have experienced traumatic events like sexual abuse, physical abuse, domestic violence exposure, separation from caregivers, and traumatic grief.
In EMDR therapy, Alex blends attachment therapies to strengthen the self-compassion experience and emphasize the integration of mind, body, and spirit. Her area of focus is on caregivers who have a trauma history and who desire a healthy attachment with their children and loved ones, particularly the postpartum attachment between the birth parent and their young one.
