Regan is a polyvagal-informed therapist who utilizes a blend of EMDR therapy, narrative processing, expressive arts interventions, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Rational Emotive Behavior Therapy to foster increased insight and an improved quality of life with her clients. She has extensive experience working with children and families who are struggling with attachment and behavioral needs, stemming from adoption or divorce.
As an EMDRIA Certified Therapist in EMDR, Regan is highly skilled at addressing attachment trauma, traumatic bereavement, sexual trauma, complex PTSD, and other co-occurring symptoms, and she has specialty training in the R-TEP protocol to work with those who have endured a recent traumatic event (like sexual assault, car accidents, or natural disasters). Additionally, Regan is a registered Consultant in Training through EMDRIA and is available for individual and group consultation for certification candidates.
Regan is passionate about education serving as a Field Instructor for the School of Social Work at UNC-Wilmington and facilitating speaking events in the community on polyvagal-informed EMDR. Her presentation style is didactic and experiential leaving audiences with immediately applicable strategies for growth. Regan is also available for LCSWA supervision for those who specialize in trauma-based services.
